Here is what students, alumni, parents and teachers have to say about St. Richard School

“I like St. Richard School because this school has great teachers.”

~Ashley Keaton (Grade 2)

St. Richard School is my home away from home. My friends and teachers are like family to me”                                                                          ~ Zachary Lenz (Grade 6)

“I love being a Crusader because of all the great teachers. They take the time to make sure everyone achieves their best. I also like it because everyone cooperates and gets along.”

~ Nick Cook (Grade 7)

“My time at St. Richard really had a positive influence on my life. Here I received a great Catholic education that instilled in me the value of service to others, friendship, and family. I also received some of the best education available which vastly increased my knowledge and intelligence. Because of the education I received at St. Richard I was able to go on and excel at St. Francis de Sales High School where I carried above a 4.0 GPA  my four years there. I am currently on the Dean’s List at the University of Toledo. St. Richard set me off on the right track with a great education, a firm belief in my faith, and great friends, which have all helped accomplish so much up to this point in my life. Without this school, I think it would be fair to say that I would be a completely different person. This school has made my life better and I hope you take this opportunity to let it do the same for you and your family.”

                                                                             ~ Jonathan Niese - Graduate 2006

“St. Richard’s School has impacted me as a fundamental molder of my childhood. I still remember waiting in line for lunch, visiting the offices, and playing on and around the swings. St. Richard was a wonderful school, with caring staff and a welcoming environment. The lessons learned there extended beyond the classroom, such as making new friends, getting along with others, and that we should never take ourselves too seriously. The church played a large part in all of this, instilling a strong faith in me as a child and making it possible for the school to exist at all. My education was very useful, as I went on to graduate from St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo, OH with honors. This education which started at St. Richard’s is still ongoing today at the University of Toledo where I am on the President’s List and hold a 4.0 GPA. I believe that St. Richard’s School had a positive and lasting effect on my life, which is still felt today. I hope that it continues to do so for years to come.”

                                                                             ~ Jacob Niese - Graduate 2004

“I am exceptionally proud of both of my children. Their education at St. Richard School has helped them both transition to high school seamlessly.  I will be forever grateful to St. Richard's for the strong education and foundation for faith instilled during their formative years.”

Over the course of my ten years at St. Francis, I have been impressed by the students who come to us from St. Richard's parish and school. The students are well-prepared to do college-preparatory work. St. Richard's has provided them a solid academic curriculum and fostered in them strong work habits. The St. Richard's graduates give evidence of meaningful faith formation; they demonstrate that they know what it means to be contributing members of a Catholic, Christian community.
Most impressive to me has been the sense of service that has been inculcated in the St. Richard's students. The call to service seems to be woven into the fabric of their being.  They are routinely the students most involved in our Campus Ministry, Teen Institute, Interact and mission service trip programs. They are quick to help in any way needed and they do so without fanfare and without expectation of thanks or reward.”
